Dear Ones,

It is with great sadness that I announce that Miss Lily, my 15-year old Westie~Cairn girl-dog will be leaving me and us tomorrow at 2:15 pm at Isis Cove in a private ceremony with Gary and I and Anne McQuinn and Isis Cove community members that would like to participate. You can visualize us down by the pond near the bench. I found a wonderful holistic vet less than a week ago who has been the perfect angel to guide us through this.

Lily has been struggling for the past three weeks with multiple issues, and it is clear that now is her time to fly free with the angels.

We have had 15 amazing years together as beloveds and best friends.  Lily has many friends around the country who remember her healing energy in priestess circles, in therapy sessions and Shamanic Breathwork sessions (she always played the teddy bear waiting at the door to come in at the end to give kisses and comfort).  I was told once that she was a gift from the heavens just for me, and I know that is true.

Please hold space for us if you so desire, and send out a prayer for Lily’s safe passage into doggie liberation.

Love,

Anyaa

Transition 4-9-09

Blue sky with that haze softening the light
Cool breezes touch a circle of friends
Gathered to stand witness to the

Completion of life.

Fond remembrances, deep grief
Letting go, never easy
Even in the fullness of time

Wishes to continue forever.

Tears mixed with soft smiles
It is time—doctor gently doing difficult work
Release from pain, suffer no more

Live on in memories.

In the end Miss Lily showed us how to live
To show up authentically, to love unconditionally,
To be devoted to your calling

Simple and powerful, yet so hard for us.

Comforting and reassuring Lil who is a bit confused and frightened by it all.
